I have seen many homeowners try to stop foreclosure by deeding the property to a friend or family member, signing a forbearance agreement, or taking money from foreclosure investors and giving them control of the property. In many cases, these methods will not prevent home foreclosure, even though the person providing you with foreclosure advice claims they will. You must make sure that whatever method you think is your best chance of avoiding foreclosure will actually stop the foreclosure process.
